Judge Lisa Gorcyca sent three children to juvenile detention since they refused to have a relationship with their father. They have committed no crime. It’s sociopath monsters like Judge Lisa Gorcyca who have no business in law or being a judge.
It’s a gig that provides an annual salary of roughly $140,000 — and a front-row seat to enough misery and heartache to stagger a mule team.
But if you want to be Oakland County’s next family court judge, now would be an excellent time to make your aspirations known, because there’s about to be an opening.
Unless the facts alleged in a 17-page complaint Michigan’s Judicial Tenure Commission filed this week prove utterly false, the Michigan Supreme Court will likely cut short Oakland County Circuit Judge Lisa Gorcyca’s seven-year career sometime early next year.
A vacancy could occur even sooner if Gorcyca decides to resign. Otherwise, one of the worst days she ever spent on the bench will get a very public airing when a Judicial Tenure Commission referee hears charges stemming from a 2015 custody hearing in which Gorcyca found three Oakland County children in contempt of court for refusing to have lunch with their estranged father.
“Forcibly taking a mother’s children, and then controlling her emotionally by withholding contact must be publicly recognized as one of the greatest forms of ‘mis-use’ of the American justice system and one of the greatest hidden vehicles for wide-spread socially approved physical and emotional abuse and control.”

Judge denies Bloomfield Hills mother’s appeal of recusal motion in contentious custody case
The judge in an explosive and controversial Michigan custody case has insisted that three children spend time with their father, despite his long history of documented domestic violence.
On Wednesday Oakland County Family Court Judge Lisa Gorcyca sent the three Tsimhoni children to a five- day intensive reunification therapy and gave the father temporary sole custody for 90 days. That ruling came after another ruling last month, where Gorcyca sentenced the children to juvenile hall, citing parental alienation.
That decision came after the children refused to see their father.
An analysis of court records, police reports, and Child Protective Services reports suggests that the reason behind the refusal of the children to see their father stems from fear. These records show documented incidents of domestic violence by the father, Omer Tsimhoni, since at least 2010.
